Macro:
The film starts with the introduction of the director (Steven Spielberg) and filmmaker (Robert Zemeckis) of in a room full of clocks ticking and swaying this creates enigma of them going into the future. There is some sort of invention being shown throughout the room, of a toaster popping up burnt toast, a can being opened and hot water bubbling. The title sequence includes crew members throughout it.

Micro:
The lens is focused on the clocks moving clockwise and swaying left to right. The camera is then in a panning shot, it then zooms into a mid-shot and freezes for a couple of seconds. As the camera is panning around the room you can hear a radio host talking through the radio then you can see and hear a news presenter talking on a tv. When the main character is introduced a cut in shot is used when he is flipping switches and turning dials. A wide shot is then used and the viewers discover he was flipping switches and turning dials for an amplifier.
