Audience Research Activity

Audience Research Activity

Audience: Assembled spectators or listeners at a public event as a play, film or concert.

Target Audience: A particular group at which product such as film or advertisement is aimed.

Recognising your target audience early on in pre-production is vital to determine content in the film. For example a title sequence for a teenage film would be different to a title sequence for an elderly film.

A teen drama genre would be more aimed at teenagers however a animation like "Shrek" would be aimed at young children because the structure and plot of the film would be more simple for their understanding. On the other hand teen dramas are usually set in a high school for example "high school musical" this could enable teenagers to understand and relate to the actors and actresses.

This is my survey I created to develop a clear idea of audiences tastes and preferences.

Below are the interviews of people from different types of target audiences.
