My Findings

Conclusion

Gender

I found out from my survey that males middle aged favourite genre was action. I expected this as this was the same findings as the BFI film year book.
I found out that females aged middle aged favourite genre was Comedy. This was not what i expected  I thought that females favourite genre would be Romance as females are quite sensitive and emotional and like films like this.

Age

I also found out that 11 out of 15 peoples favourite movie was of an action genre. I believe this is because, action is very broad and normally  incorporates a lot of other genres within for example romance, also action is very thrilling and interesting so this is why i think it appeals to a lot of people.

Nationality

People I surveyed said that they preferred watching american movies, they said that they think americans are better actors and have more advanced techniques and equitment than the UK.
Also 14 of the 15 people I interviewed favourite actors were male I think this incorporates with that fact that people prefer America films.

Location 

Majority of poeple in my survey said that they preferred a city location. I think this ties in to all of my other findings as people prefer action movies and action movies tend to be set in a busy city and there is a lot going on and can incorporate action easier, it is unlikely you will find an action movie set on a pretty beach.
