My final cut review.
My final film was based on a 2 minute teen crime drama. It showed my organisational and teamwork skills to ensure that my group stayed on-top of the work. Overall I was elated with my opening as we got the work done to a great standard in the end.

Inspiration of my genre
Even though my whole group and myself decided to do a film based on teen crime drama, I felt that it was an interesting topic to choose simply because I've grown up in a society with high crime rates, and I feel that awareness needs to be raised on this topic.

Evaluation Question 4
Target audience is a particular group at which a product such as a film or advertisement is aimed.
In the film industry, recognising and appealing to your target audience is incredibly important as ultimately they will be the types of people who will be watching your film. Recognising your target audience early on in your pre-production is vital as they will determine the content of your film. For example a film opening that is aiming to appeal to teenager market will be different to an opening appealing to older people. Target audience need to be able to relate and engage with your film opening.
The target audience for my film is going to be a teenager that lives in rural area and is fully involved in todays younger generation. From using YouGov i found out that a male that watches attack the block is most likely to be between the ages of 20-25, live in London, enjoy social media, have 125 monthly spare etc. I chose to use attack the block as an example as this was the same genre as my film and I felt it was easier to relate to to establish my target audience.
Also from the BFI statistics research I done I found out that in 2013, the 15-24 age group made up the largest proportion of cinema admissions at 33%. From this information Ii found out that making a teen film will be most effective as I believe cinema is very popular for teens and the fact my film appeal to teenagers I believe this will make my film very popular.
My wider target audience would e people of an older age that would possibly go to watch my film in the cinema with there teenage children. Also older audiences that feel as if when they were a teenager they related to the film, this could have a sentimental feel to the person, possible ages 26-35.
I have created a facebook profile which I feel would most suit my target audience and if they were a person what they'd be like.
Evaluation 4.
Audience: People or a market segment at whom an advertising or campaign is aimed.
Target Audience: Select group of potential or current customers, which a business decides to aim its marketing and advertising strategies in order to sell a product or service.
An audience is necessary for success of a media text because the audience is a source of feedback to see if the production had done a good job. If there was no audience there would not be feedback from anyone who may be biased because of profession. The best feedback to get is from anonymous public feedback which is an audience who would enjoy for example movies from Horror or Action.
The wider audience for our final cut is men from the working class background from ages 15-21. They are active on social media network like instagram and favourite celebrities vary from 50 cent to paigey cake. The rest is presented on our YouGov profiles. In reference to my BFI statistics i found out that action was awarded one of the best genres in 2014. One of our movies sub-genres are action therefore if we present this it would widen our target market as more people would watch our movie because the action genre in popular.
My specific audience for our film is all labelled in our YouGov profile. We identified these aspects as our target audience as we did research on other movies of the similar genre as ours for example Kidulthood and Anuvahood. We looked at their target audiences and based our target audience around theirs.

Evaluation Question 6
In the making of our title sequence there was a lot of different technology used in order for us to be able to produce our film effectively and professional.
Adobe Premiere Pro is a timeline-based video editing software application. It is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes video editing, graphic design, and web development programs.
Premier Pro
Adobe Premiere Pro is a timeline-based video editing software application. It is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes video editing, graphic design, and web development programs.
Premier Pro was a major part of creating our film as this is were we edited all of our clips, without premier pro we wouldn't of been able to put our film all together. Without the use of premier pro we possibly would of had a lot of irrelevant things in our film as we were unable to cut clips down. I would say premier pro was the most important piece of technology that we used throughout the making of our film.
Blogger
Blogger is a website where you are able to post blogs with gifs, pictures and other online formats.
We used Blogger throughout the making of our film. I think this was very important as this is were we put all of our work, research, planning, evaluations. I believe without the organisation of blogger it would of been very hard for us to progress and make our film. Furthermore, i think that Blogger is very easy to use once you get the hang of it and the structure of it is very effective when making blogs.
After Effects
Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of film making and television production.
The main thing we used after effects for was our titles, this technology was important because adding titles to our film was a necussacerity, without titles we would get marked down immensely. In addition, I think titles are very important because it gives credit to the people that made the film and i think this is very important, also titles on a film add to it as you can add different animations onto your titles which make it look very appealing to the audience.
Overall, I feel like I have learnt the importance of technology in a film production, this is initially the most important part of making a film apart from the cameras as theres no way you can make successful, good looking film without using technology. I also never knew how to use any of these technologies before so I have learnt a lot for the future in film technology.

Independent Soundscape Research
As a group , we have decided to use the following instrumental as the soundtrack for our title sequence.
Akala- 'Roll Wid Us' Instrumental
Now that filming is almost over and we are adding details to make our title sequence come together, I have chosen to brainstorm some useful sounds that could be used in our title sequence.

Branding Our Blog
I have decided to customise our blog by making the background image representative of our title sequence genre ; In the photograph there is a housing block in black and white. I think it matches the mise en scene and tone of the film, especially being in black and white- this can be connected to the story telling style of our title sequence that will be expressed through a voice over.

Title Sequence Script for Voice Over
The hoods a devious place, where one can loose everything in
a split second. It destroys lives but can make a victory.
I take risks and prosper
Risks can always be taken too far and that’s had me ended up
where I am now
4 walls one bed and a whole load of other people who took
risks too far
im in a place where our greatest enemies are in charge
they are the kings of the jungle and the only gang about

This voice over will appear over all the scenes of acting. The start of the movie with the credits will have music over it and then end will have music when the actual title of the movie appears. The voice will only appear during the middle. I aim to find someone with a deep old husky voice to create quiet an intimidating effect and relate to the gritty genre of our film opening. In addition it gives a good effects as he will be talking as the adult and the character acting will be him as a child.
